The Stokes brothers Tom, Jerry, and Sam have kept this collection together since ALF began. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, we began collecting memorabilia via eBay. The very first purchase that Sam made after setting up his eBay account was a plush ALF doll. In 2001, Tom and Sam went through the trouble of connecting their parents' turntable to the computer in order to record a digital backup version of the Burger King ALF records.

When I was a child my father taped many episodes of the ALF sitcom on VHS. Growing up I watched them over, and over...and over! Believe it or not, I still prefer my original airings (with 80s commercials!) to the DVD sets. In 2003, I started this ALF website. Not only has this site been an opportunity to share what I know about ALF, but I have learned so much in the process from fans throughout the world. The highlight of my life as an ALF fan has been that Paul Fusco (creator and voice of ALF), and his wife (Linda) have been visitors of this site.

Anything interesting you would like to share about your life as an ALF fan?
In 2003 I found an old VHS tape lying around at home with the Pilot episode of ALF recorded on it, I watched it and became a fan overnight. The very next day I went to a flea-market after a friend told me it was a good place to find ALF stuff. Shortly after arriving, I found an ALF finger-puppet. I bought it on the spot and the rest, as they say, is history. That’s how my ALF collecting got started.

I'm really glad that ALF is on The HUB because it likely will help introduce him to a younger audience. I first became a fan through watching reruns on the Odyssey channel. This shows that the sitcom can still entertain even though it was cancelled more than twenty years ago. Also, I hope that the movie is a success so that established fans can enjoy the further adventures of Gordon Shumway and younger audiences can have a fun introduction to the famous Melmacian.

Ironically, it was the ALF movie the originally sparked my interest in ALF, not the series. I remember watching it when it originally aired on TV and I liked it. of course, at the time I had no idea what ALF was or the fact the series existed because the series was not being rerunned on TV. but then I think some time in the early 2000s, I managed to see some episodes of the series being aired on TV, of course remembering the ALF name from the movie. my mom soon told me all about the ALF tv series being a ALF fan herself when the show originally aired, and I partially flipped out I didn't realize there was a TV series sooner. so after rewatching the episodes whenever I could I soon fell in love with ALF. so yeah, there is my story of how I got into ALF.
