It's funny, as a kid I actually hated that line, because the idea of ALF being so violent was really scary. But now, Strangers in the Night is without a doubt my favorite episode in the series.
I have a dark sense of humor so I've always kind of enjoyed that line.

at the time I thought it was funny for out the blue it is, now I realize of creepily morbid that sounds in a sitcom.
