it depends on how good the CGI is, if the CGI is crap then I probably would not like it, but if he looks really good in CGI then I won't mind it so much.

I feel the same way about it; although I think it'd be quite interesting to see, I still want the old ALF in there....

If the CGI in ALF is as good as the CGI in the movie Ted then I'll have no problem with it. Ted shows that they can do a small fuzzy creature in CGI and have it look good.
Meddle not in the affairs of animatronic beasts for you are crunchy and make an excellent fuel source
