ALF vs. E.T.

Post by Fantastic Fur2 »

What is the difference between these two?!?

(I wonder if Paul Fusco became friends with Steven Spielberg...?!)

E.T wanted to phone home
ALF wanted to destroy home

I lived abroad in the 80`s when E.T was released, and the video shop had a bootleg copy before it reached the cinemas. My parents knew nothing about it, and decided that it would be best if I was sent to bed early whilst they and their friends watched it one night, just to make sure that there was nothing nasty in it.

I was allowed to watch it the next day, and it made me cry, and even now, over 40 years later, it STILL makes me cry !

Oh, and the same parents who wouldn`t let me watch E.T. also decided it was OK for me to watch Salem`s Lot.

And that film WRECKED me as a child, and for many years, I slept with one arm over my shoulder, as my room had shutters on the windows, and I was terrified someone would fly in the window and bite me !
