The Hub (formerly Discovery Kids) has acquired Alf and will air the series in its sitcom block Monday-Thursday at 8:30pm ET with an encore at 2:30am ET.

Yep, this is a Canadian only release. It is simply the previous releases from Lions Gate in different (and uglier) packaging at a higher price. Each season on Amazon individually is going for around $10 right now compared to the $60-70 wanted for this.

I have an old computer that I don't use anymore. If I switch the settings on the DVD drive to Region 2 is that all I have to do in order to play the Alf DVDs from Germany. I'm considering buying them, but want to make sure I can play them before I shell out the money.

I'm aware that the sets are the syndicated versions, but its the best I have at the moment. If someone wants to send me a region free dvd player and the money to purchase all the sets again I will gladly upgrade what I have, until then I have to make do with the Region 1 sets.

Does she have a favorite episode or scene?

How was a typical taping day for her compared to the rest of the cast because except for a few instances the Ochmonek's rarely interacted with Alf?

I prefer the Season 3 & 4 theme music. When I watch those episodes on DVD I usually listen to the theme while with the Season 1 & 2 eps I usually skip the theme.

Sales of ALF TV Series DVD sets were obviously sufficent enough for "LionsGate" to proceed with release of DVD sets for all four seasons of the series; however, saying, "Since they sold so well now" may be a bit of an overstatement, since "LionsGate" never released a second production run ...

We could always go with the theory that The Ochmoneks and Tanners had a falling out after Trevor turned Willie in to the police so that is why they never appear after that.

Actually, Warner Brothers has a habit of abandoning season sets after the first one. At least Lions Gate finished the series.

Lions Gate has included on the Season 3 DVD the episodes Mind Games and Fever. These episodes were produced for Season 3, but NBC held them over until Season 4. The reason they were put on Season 3 (instead of 4) is because Lions Gate puts the episodes in production order not the order they aired on ...
