True, true. I think a comparable scene would be the ending of Monster's Inc? That would definitely be nostalgic gold - even perhaps in a new ALF movie!

I would most definitely like to see an ALF movie. But, for sentimental reasons, I just don't think it would be the same, even IF the original cast got re-united. For starters, the nostalgic 80s feel would be lost unless the set designers and costume ...

What if Fusco could use a motion-capturing puppet to record the animations? It'd be a lot closer to the real thing than outsourcing it to some animation studio.

Many actors involved in the production of the original ALF sitcom have expressed the fact that there was much tension on the set. Tedious rehearsals and slow pace were required to make the puppet's movements believable and fluid, while actors didn't take nearly as long to get ready.

I was. Yikes. I guess I wouldn't have liked the tediousness of producing the show either, but Max got it right: however much work it took, the show did bring folks a lot of joy. Which is why we're here 20-odd years later. :)

Hey everybody!

Quite happy to have found this place! Strangely, I was born after ALF went off the air, and was introduced to the show by my parents when I was coming out of 3rd grade. Recently rented some DVD-episodes and fell completely in love with the show again!

That's it for my introduction... Never dreamed ...
