Shirtless ALF hand-puppet?

Post by ALFicionado »

I got a shirtless ALF hand-puppet a few weeks ago at a flee-market, and after searching for ALF hand-puppets on Ebay I've noticed that not a single one of these has been shirtless, they all have some witty text on them or something. So, is the shirt from my hand-puppet missing or were there actually shirtless hand-puppets for sale back in the day?

AxelFoley,

I am not aware of any original "shirtless" (naked so to speak) ALF hand puppets. All of the original, "Burger King" promotion hand puppets wore some form of attire. There were original, unattired (nude) ALF "finger" puppets.

AxelFoley, I also own the "naked" finger puppet you are referring to. There are also two holes in the back of the arms so you can move ALF's arms with your fingers.

That's exactly it. This part of my collection is the one I'm probably the most emotionally fond of. The very day after I found the ALF pilot episode on one of my old tapes and saw it after so many years, and became an instant fan again, I went to a flee-market and found this.

AxelFoley,

Were you able to purchase the ALF puppet with fleas included in price, or did they cost extra? Ha!!!! I kill me.

What a coincidence. A family member picked me up an ALF finger puppet last month at a flea market. I think it's really cute and he sits on top of my DVD cabinet :)

Oh, I also have a question. On the finger puppet, does everyones have dark fur? The fur on mine seems to be of a light color.

melmacian56,

Fur on original ALF finger puppets was same as ALF's coloring, but have seen many of the finger puppets where the fur color has been "bleached" much lighter by too much sun exposure.

I think mine is safe from being bleeched, it seems to be ALF's normal fur-color.

Mine must have suffered from sun exposure. Oh well, I'm just happy to have one :D
