Life Sized ALf plush

Post by bookedup2go »

Hi I recently purchased a life-sized 36" ALF plush doll (in his hawaii shirt) The label reads: 2002 Alien Productions ~ NANCO, in good condition with just a little wear on his toes. I'm a bookseller by trade and don't know much about the toy collectible world. Any information on possible value or ?? Would be extremely appreciated and thanks regardless for reading!!

The only Nanco distributed ALF plush figure with Alien Productions, Inc. date of 2002 that I am aware of was ALF wearing Hawaii style shirt, but he was only 12" - 14" tall. I do recall several years ago seeing eBay auction listings for a life-size ALF plush figure wearing Hawaii shirt; however, I believe that ALF plush figure was a "knockoff" (not licensed by Alien Poductions, Inc.) produced in Eastern Europe or Russia,

Suggestions:

Contact Nanco to determine, if possible, if the company did indeed distribute a life-sized ALF plush figure with Alien Productions, Inc, date of 2002. Also, if Nanco did distribute the ALF life-size plush figure, you might question if a retail price was suggested which would offer some idea of original value. Here is link to Nanco corporate offices website contact information:
http://nancobos.com/Address.html

Check ALF auction listings on eBay from time to time in search of offering of life-sized ALF plush figure such as yours. Should you find a match, you then would at least have some idea of what someone has established as a current market value range.

In closing, should you be able to verify that your life-sized ALF plush figure was licensed by Alien Production, Inc., you are invited to then advertixe for sale at established price here on the Forum. Just possible I, or other Forum members, may have interest if "licensed" ALF product.

Nanco also produce plush items for prizes in the Amusement industry, as it wasn't one of the ALF items on general sale it was probably made for that as they tended to do giant versions as star prizes. Good luck with it.

I found a picture online of ALF from a pornographic site. It appears that a life-size plush doll does exist. I will edit the picture and censor the adult material and then upload it here.

SanDiegoHereICome,

While I am glad to have you join us on the Forum, I do not feel your "edited" photo (even with the utmost discretion) of life-sized plush ALF figure that appeared in XXX porn scene is appropriate for the Forum. Personally, I have viewed several photos from the XXX porn scene, and that life-sized plush ALF figure is an obvious, bad "knockoff" (non-licensed) product not acceptable on this Forum.

Again, welcome to the Forum,

Agreed. A bad knockoff but a life size plush none the less.

I just bought a life size ALF plush today, Hawaiian shirt and all - AWESOME! Looks to be about 36" or so, huge head too. Pictures coming soon!!!

Oh, the person I bought it from won it at a carnival...my guess is the value of them isn't extremely high. I paid $20 for it. I'm also not sure if it is licensed by Alien Productions, but will check tomorrow. It is currently strapped in the back seat of my car, as my wife WILL NOT allow it inside! That's a separate story though... Looks like the old ALFer will be riding with me every day until I find a good home (I'm still shooting for the corner of the bedroom)...

Admin,

Based on personal experience, but for reasons unknown, majority of women find it "creepy" to have ALF staring at them in the bedroom.

Do you have any picturesof it yet, Jeremiah? I'd really like to see some since I have had a life-size one myself for a few years that I'm pretty sure is a knock-off. I just want to see if ours are similar. Mine does not have a Hawaii-shirt on though, and I doubt it was made in 2002.

Woops! I forgot about the pictures. I don't have it with me at the moment (it is in storage because my wife wouldn't let me keep it in the apartment...figures!) so next time I get some stuff I'll snap some quick shots.

I have the same problem, well not exactly the same, but nonetheless a problem. It doesn't fit in my apartment, we don't have a place for it, unfortunately.

Im just getting up to date on this ALF plush doll business and I thought I'd post a little something. There was ALF plush dolls available for win at amusement parks. I have two of them. Both are wearing a Hawaii shirt. Both shirts are different colors and they are both different sizes. The one is very large and was very hard to win cause it was the "mega size" prize and the other is a tiny doll which was an easy prize win. I got these about 3-4 years ago when the Exhibition was in my town. Im pretty sure the color on the large one's shirt was blue with green palm trees all around it and the small one was the redish color that you seen ALF wearing on the show. I don't have them with me but if anyone is interested I can get some pictures of them when I go home for the holidays.

That looks almost like mine in this thread: http://www.alftv.net/community/viewtopi ... 2512#12512, minu a few details, like the feet. The head looks pretty much alike anyway.
