Question about Season 2

Question about Season 2
I have noticed that in a lot of episodes in Season 2, Willie (Max Wright) is not wearing his glasses but instead just some cheap reading glasses. I can imagine and bet that that he missed wearing is regular big glasses that he wrote throughout the series.
What does everybody think about this?

Maybe he didn't need them in season 2 but the producers felt he'd look too different without them.ALF1986 wrote:I have noticed that in a lot of episodes in Season 2, Willie (Max Wright) is not wearing his glasses but instead just some cheap reading glasses. I remember noticing that when watching as a kid. I never thought too much of it as my own mother would occassionally go through a few months where she would wear her glasses daily then I wouldn't see them for ages, then she would wear them again. She is near sighted, as I am now. I often do the same thing myself these days, although my eyes are still much better than hers. Anyway, my point is that her sight was good enough that she had no trouble passing driving tests or anything. She was just more comfortable wearing them sometimes than others I guess, lol.
I always just thought it was something like that.

Re: Question about Season 2
Maybe Willie wasn't wearing his regular glasses because he didn't want to see the damage that Alf caused.
Re: Question about Season 2
Willies glasses makes him well Willie and taking them away just bothers people.

How do you know it bothers people? I don't care if he wears them or not.

Not that it makes a difference to me if he wears them or not but I do have to admit that his glasses are his trademark feature. Whenever I think of Willie I always picture him with the glasses on. I have had people sometimes ask me...What was the name of the guy on that show ALF who had the goofy looking glasses haha.

I don't want to get too far off topic but just to let everyone know since he was brought up, the the guy who played Neil (Jim J. Bullock) is now an actor on the children's TV show "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide". He plays a teacher named Mr. Monroe.
