Michu- Dead Or Alive?

Post by Jessica »

Ok, we discussed this on another topic, so let's start a new one here.

Michu Meszaros, is he dead or alive?? Some says he's dead, some says he's alive. So I have no idea...

Since last film credits for "Michu Meszaros" date back to 1993, current status of the actor in question; however, "Google" search did not reveal any information noting the death of "Michu Meszaros".

Jessica,

Sorry, I am unable to answer your question with absolute certainty, but I am of the belief that "Michu Meszaros" very likely still living, due to "Google" search resulting in no information of his death. If " Michu Meszaros" is indeed still alive, big question is what has he been doing all these years, since his last film credits are listed as 1993.

This Topic causing major headache as I try to remember person responsible for original quote, "News of my death has been greatly exagerated." Think quote was from old time comedian - maybe "W.C. Fields".

I remember reading that he is dead. However IMDb does not confirm that so I don't know anymore.

I believe you are thinking of, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated" spoken by Mark Twain.

As far as Michu's death, I believe there was also another Hungarian with the same name (but was a famous artist) who died in 1982. It is possible that people know of the "other Michu's" death and are getting them confused.

I'm still looking for more sources...I'm currently researching it little by little and will definitely keep everyone informed of my finds (with collaboration I think we can crack this case).

Since there is nothing saying specifically that is IS dead (only rumors) I am forced to believe he is still alive.

:)

I now remember where I read that he was dead. I believe it was on the ALF fansite http://www.geocities.com/alf_tribute/

However I can't access the site as it is being upgraded for the first time in a long while. I'm looking forward to see the upgrade!

There are also beliefs that "since Michu is a little person his life span would be shorter and is probably dead" - he was born in 1940 and would now be (about) 67-years-old.

However,

People who are little people (midget is obviously the politically incorrect term) actually can/do live full lives. Current research proves there is no link between "dwarfism" and shorter life spans (you can do a Google search to confirm if you'd like).

Just wanted to make that clear.
