Bring ALF back!

Post by Jessica »

I would love if they could make new episodes of ALF! Wouldn't you. I know he's a real classic and I think nothing can beat the older episodes.
But wouldn't it be great!!??

New ALF episodes would definitely be great. Right now, I would even settle for re-runs being aired on television...or the movie being shown every once in a while.

Yeah..but I hope the ALF puppet still works. :)
I wonder, where is the puppet now? I have heard it's in Paul Fusco's house.

Yeah..but I hope the ALF puppet still works.
I would assume the puppet still works, as it was used for "ALF's Hit Talk Show" in 2004 (unless something terrible happened since then).

http://www.alftv.net/pictures/talkshow/

These are the most recent pictures of the puppet...uh, ALF. For being in his 200s ALF still looks great!

That is very interesting...where is the puppet now??? That would make a good "Ask ALF" question, should the Q&A ever start back up again.

<EDIT> Corrected the year of ALF's Hit Talk Show </EDIT>

Correction, 2004 (not 2005) - my mistake.

I'm confused. What ALF puppet? I mean, ALF introduces each episode on the new(ish) DVD Box Sets, those were done just a couple of years ago, right? I haven't heard anything bad about his health when I google him, so he's OK. What ALF puppet? Did they use a puppet when he did stunts?

As for new episodes, yes, I'd love them. I'd like to find out if he went to Lynn or Brian, or if they share custody to lower expense.

Here's a few links that may clear things up.

http://www.tvshows.de/alf/e-people.htm (scroll down to the "ALF with creator Paul Fusco" section)

Last news was that Paul Fusco (creator and voice of ALF) was trying to get an ALF movie in the works as well as get the ALF sitcom back on television. That was well over a year ago and nothing has come of either as of yet.

To be completely honest...I'm not very confident, but there is always hope. One thing is for sure, we can't give up!

Most likely we are all familiar with the phrase, "If you want it bad enough, you can make it happen." In my opinion, ALF could make a successful return to TV, but those who are responsible for ALF "do not want it bad enough to make it happen."

I suggest we form a protest and camp out on Mr. Fusco's lawn...and not leave until ALF is back on TV.

(Just joking of course)

Don't you mean another talk show? I don't remember Paul saying anything about getting the sitcom back on, just another talk show. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, he did mention wanting to do more talk shows - getting the sitcom back on television (in the US) has also been a priority, and for good reason (as it is the backbone of the ALF franchise).

The following is a quote by Mr. Fusco:
We have been seeking a cable outlet for the show once we got the TV rights
back from Hallmark---it seems there are not that many networks running 80's
tv shows so the market is very limited.
