Next Chat Night

Post by Admin »

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to get a head start on the next chat night. The turnout the last time wasn't ideal - which could be in part to me getting a late start on it. I'm looking at May 27th - also a Sunday.

I plan on getting the information on the website (and sent out via e-mail) no later than April 27th (one month ahead of time). I figure that getting the information and initial e-mail out a month ahead of time, then maybe a reminder a week before (maybe a few days, we'll have to see) may lead to more participation in the next chat night.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated from all those who plan to participate.

Thanks!

Chat Night - A very good idea threatened by possible failure, due to lack of participation. Unless a reasonable number of members are willing to step forward and post a commitment to participation that they intend to honor, I have had enough of Chat Nights.

I am definitely in agreement with you on that one - unless we can get increased participation this will probably be the last one.

2 months, sounds so far away. But 2 emails reminding everyone of the date and time is a good idea.

A few weeks before chat night, a thread should be created where everyone who intends to participate can officially announce they will be there.

I'm working on the next site update and want to get it up in the next week or so (to give about three weeks notice about the chat night).

Unless there are any objections/serious issues the date and time will be May 27th at 11:00pm GMT/Forum Time.

Chat night is one night usually once every 2 months where those of us who can make it, get together and chat with each other for a few hours. It's something new to the forum so we've only done it twice.
It has come to my understanding that depending on the number of members participating we will see if we will keep on doing them.

Hope this helped.
