ALF loves a mystery

Post by ALFicionado »

I know this may sound stupid, but exactly what was this show about?? I've never really gotten the full info on it. I've also googled the name, but all I get is episode title and air date.

If I remember correctly, ALF worked with kids to find clues that would tell you what shows would be on that Saturday morning.

IMO, it would have been the perfect "extra" for the season 2 DVD set.

Because it was aired during season 2, am I correct?

Not exactly - it is considered a "special" that ran the Saturday before the second season started.

On websites that I have looked at it says that it was previewed the Saturday before, but the air date is always listed as Monday. I saw it when I was a kid, so I haven't seen it in 19 years, maybe someone else can shed some light on this and provide some further information.

Yes, that would be great to know something more on it.

The cast was comprised of actors and characters in all of NBC's Saturday morning kids shows. The main purpose of the show was to promote NBC's Saturday morning lineup prior to start of the new season.

I've had this special in the back of my mind for years now. I wish wish wish it was included in one of the DVD sets, maybe it still will be even if it is out of sequence. I love obscure stuff from my past and would eat a cat for the chance to see this again. If anyone can track down a copy, PLEASE let me know.

It would make a great DVD bonus. I can't say I remember seeing it, but I remember specials like that (which would preview Saturday Morning Cartoons for the new fall seasaon).

It should have been on season 3 or 4, or on whichever season it was when he did that special.

ALF Loves A Mystery aired on September 21, 1987 (shortly before the second season).

Definitely would have made a great bonus!

You can always upload it on megaupload or something, that way Admin might be able to download it, cut it to pieces big enough and host the videos on this site.

Thoughts Admin?

Best way would be to e-mail them to me (webmaster@alftv.net) and I'll get them up. Just make sure to put the word "ALF" in the subject line or I may not be able to differentiate it from spam (I've missed several messages this year because I thought they were spam).

Thanks!!!
