Weird rumour

I just checked out a TV-forum in Sweden, with an ALF topic, and they are discussing a rumour about Willie Tanner, they say he fell in love with ALF, the DOLL, that he was obsessed with it so much that it led his wife to divorce him?! :shock: I know it's BS, but was it in fact a rumour like that?

Max Wright (Willie Tanner) has, in fact, been the unfortunate subject of some "trash" reporting in U.S. tabloids over the years; however, even that "trash" was not as absurd as what you mention.
