Paul Fusco Captain Catgut Space Cats

Post by ILoveALF »

I found this video of the live action intro of Space Cats. When you go to the video, go to 2:08 to see Captain Catgut. His voice was
done by Paul Fusco. I'm not sure if he puppeteered him or not but the way Captain Catgut moves is very similar to ALF's. I think that Catgut was puppeteered by Paul. Anyway, enjoy. :D

Wow, that's cool! The puppet moves just like ALF, and sounds like 'em too!

Maybe it's ALF in disguise, waiting for the perfect moment to jump out of costume and eat the other cats!

Wow! Thanks for posting I haven't seen Space Cats for years.

In the UK Sky used to show it early in the mornings whilst I was getting ready for work. I must admit I struggled with it as that character was so much like ALF without being ALF if you know what I mean! :D

Personally, I would love for this series to be released on DVD!

Had never heard of this show before in my life. With that being said, I love the irony of Paul Fusco playing a cat, pure brilliance.

no surprise, as it only lasted 10 episodes, so not many know it even existed, but yeah, it is very ironic for paul to play a cat, in space no less!

I'm surprised the Cats' planet wasn't a victim of random raids by Melmacians. I can't see Melmacians being able to resist a planet full of cats that were probably as big as the average Melmacian. That's a lot of meat. Slap an apple in it's mouth and some stuffing where the sun don't shine and you have a nice Fappiano dinner.

maybe the cat planet did and maybe that is how melmac got blown up in this first place. the cat people got tired of being eaten and decided to take revenge on the melmacians by going all out war and blew their planet up. just a theory.

It's a good theory. Though I'd prefer to think that the cat planet and Melmac don't exist in the same fictional universe. Either that or they do but Melmac leaves them alone for moral reasons. If the Melmacians were raiding a planet full of intelligent beings and eating them, that would make them the villains in that particular scenario, an idea that I'm not really comfortable with.

yeah, melmacians seemed a pretty peaceful race to me and not the kind to enslave a race from another planet just to eat them as food.
