Re: #10: Baby, You Can Drive My Car
As a fan from the beginning I saw this episode when it originally aired and the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" was used. In the DVD releases they have cut this song, which means you don't understand why ALF says "hide like an Egyptian".
That song was so popular right at the moment, which illustrates that the powers-that-were on the ALF series were keeping their pulse on the pop scene.
The best scenes are ALF driving down the road at 100 miles per hour (or whatever he was supposed to be going). Great that he was calling from the car phone (a luxury in those days prior to cellphones).

It's a pretty fun episode, though it was a pity about the car. XD

One thing that was neat was seeing a cell phone in a car in 1986...not often seen 25 years ago on TV.

I believe it's included in the German release of ALF though, since that set is uncut.ALFsince86 wrote:As a fan from the beginning I saw this episode when it originally aired and the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" was used. I gave this episode a strong 4 and along with Don't It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue it's one of the most memorable ALF episodes out there. I agree with you about the best scene being when ALF is in the car, yelling at other passengers!
"Oh yeah? Well you're another one!"

Great episode......
Hilarious scene...in house they were talking where Alf is and they just heard the sound of a car going in a high speed

Willie: You can't vote ALF, you're not a citizen.
ALF: I'll apply for a green card.
Willie: That's only if you want a job.
ALF: Pass.
