Post by jec2009 »

I watched some season 4 episodes the other day and it seemed to me that everyone even ALF is annoyed and angry.

jec2009,
I would like to thank you for noticing this because I do too. When I started Season 4, I was upset because I knew it was the last season. When i started watching it though, I realized the cast was getting tired of it, and so was ALF. I thought about it a long time, and my conclusion was this was happening because ALF was going to leave this season. That is why I was not as upset when I saw "Consider Me Gone." I knew that the time had came where ALF actually NEEDED to go.

I don't believe that at all! its just the cast growing up in season 4. People get comfortable with the one's that are around!

If you watch season 1,2, or 3 before 4, you can see the difference.
Especially in Brian, and you can see Willie and Kate get more aggravated with ALF.

There most definitely was lots of tension on the ALF TV Series set during Season Four.

Reasons:
Starting in Season Three, and progressing at more rapid pace in Season Four ratings were tanking.
Show often preempted for Specials.
Show bounced from long time Monday evening time slot.
Rumor spreading throughout cast and crew that show might not be renewed for a 5th Season.
Original cast members becoming ever more "burnt out' by arduous shooting schedule.
Weak scripts resulting from writers running out of new ideas for "confined" storyline.
Raquel , Trevor, and Jake Ochmonek characters discontinued.
New characters (Baby Eric and Neal) introduced who did not workout.

Probably even more reasons that are unknown by me, or I have forgotten.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I just watched the episode in which Alf moves to Neal's apartment (I forgot the title) and Willie is particularly rude to Alf. He acts as if he hated him.
