I was wondering if we could all arrange a time for everyone to go to The Lounge and chat online. Most likely a weekend would work out for me.

For those of you that have not done it before, it's accessible through the site - in fact, scroll up from here and on the top right corner of the screen you will find "FAQ", "Search", etc. Click on "Chat".

I would love that, it's a great idea. Unfortunately I'm outside your region so the time-difference might be a problem for me.

Definitely a great idea! I would assume that weekends would work best for everyone - does this coming Sunday sound like it could possibly work for some of you? Perhaps we can come up with a list and narrow it down.

Maybe we can create a weekly "Chat Night" and I can then post it on the main page of the website to invite more people to the forum.

That sounds good, might attract more people. And Sundays are always dull anyways. Hope you can work something out.

In order for it to work everyone will have to change their timezones to "GMT" in their profile (to make sure we are all on the same time zone). I was thinking about next Sunday (1/21) at 11:00pm (forum time). You can view the forum time on the forum index page - it is underneath the scrolling topics feature.

Does that pose a problem for any regulars? For example, during the middle of the night?!?

NFL Conference Championship Playoff games are next Sunday (1/21). Mark me busy.

We could consider an earlier time too - possibly 6:00pm (GMT - Forum Time) if that would work for more people?

Okay - I am now thinking that Sunday January 28th would be a better time. So unless there are objections, I am going to update the main page of the website to feature the "Chat Night" on "January 28th at 11:00pm GMT/Forum Time".

Any objections/comments/concerns/suggestions?!?

Admin,

If possible, suggest you send group email to all members announcing date and time for this first ALF Forum Chat Session. Email should also again include specific instruction on location of GMT time, so that each member aware of how to compute their local time. In addition, perhaps email should include instructions on how to access "Chat" for those members who are not familiar with this Forum option.

If first Chat Session proves to be successful, then plans can be made for future Chat Sessions on a frequency schedule of say once-a-month.

Yep - mass e-mailing the forum members is at the top of my list when the weekend is over. The e-mail will go over the time issues (making sure all members have selected "GMT" in their profiles, etc.) - I'll keep everyone posted, thanks!
