Forum Bugs Fixed

Hello everyone!



Just letting you know that I have all the bugs worked out with the user ranks. I completely deleted the entire forum and reinstalled what I needed to; there must have been a corrupted file somewhere - I spent weeks trying to find it but couldn't. The reason I did a complete reinstall as my last option was because I was worried I wasn't going to be able to reinstall the template correctly (it's a very complicated one). All went well and it's time for me to go to bed (right after I get done reinstalling the user avatars. It's 2:00am, my time, but just wanted to let everyone know - see you around the boards!



BTW: If anyone notices any future problems, or problems I've neglected to fix, feel free to PM me so I can fix it ASAP, thanks!

<EDIT> I took the advice Alfster gave me a few months ago and added a scrolling topics feature on the index page of the main site http://www.alftv.net - this should bring many more people to the forum. I replaced the guestbook feature with this on the mainpage, the guestbook can still be accessed on every other page of the ALFtv.NET website. </EDIT>

I've been spending alot of time on the site this entire week fixing things - I hope nothing goes wrong for a long time. Also cleaned out alot of HTML code (I was able to clean out 10% of the "garbage" code and now the site will load faster, and be easier for search engine robots to check over the site and forum...search engine optimization isn't one of my strong points, but it's getting better all the time, now we'll just have to see if it pays off).
