ALF costume?
I been thinking of getting the ALF costume for halloween, but not sure if it would suit me. the costume I'm talking about is not the 80s one, but the newer one that comes with the feet and gloves. just wondering if anyone as had a experience wearing this costume and would recommend it or not?

Re: ALF costume?
I thought the one with shoes and gloves was from the 80's as well?
Not sure what sizes they came in, they may have come in Kids, S, M, L and such.

Re: ALF costume?
Somewhere, I have the mask to the original ALF costume. It's made out of a soft rubber, with lots of fur, and man does it get hot in there while wearing it. I wore it around once, and after just a few minutes, my face was drenched in sweat. Whatever, I guess that's a fair price to pay for such an awesome mask. Anyway, That's all I have to say. Carry on.
Oh Yeah? Well, You're a Wienier!

Re: ALF costume?
so I went a head and bought the ALF costume for halloween and wore it, so here just my experience with this costume. it not as bad as some people say. the body suit itself fit me fairly well, but I'm a pretty big and tall people, so yeah might be okay for big and tall people, but not so much if your short and skinny. the body suit was kind of big and loose on me, but I wanted it that way so I could easily move in it and have some breathing room to not be too hot. but I must far ware you, it is recommended you don't wear it for long periods of time because you will get very hot and sweaty in it, about after a hour of wearing this this I was sweating buckets. the feet were a bit big and floppy to walk in, but the good news is that they very light weight, so took not effort at all to walk in them, but i decided to go without the feet anyway in case I might trip over them. my biggest problem was the head mask, it is kind of hard to see and breath out of it, but I expected that. I had to the mask off often because it made my face hot.
but despite my troubles, it was well worth wearing it in my opinion, the halloween party I went too a lot of people recognized who I was and liked my costume, some even took pictures of me. so overall, the experience was well worth all the sweat and tears I had go through to wear the costume.

Re: ALF costume?
Nice review, thanks. I don't think that's the full body ALF costume I've seen on eBay though. The mask seems different.

I know, the picture does not look very accurate to the actual costume, but it's the same one.

Re: ALF costume?
ALF costumes used to be so much cheaper! From what I can tell, though, there seem to be two types of costumes and masks, though. Well, three.
The first type I will completely disregard because it doesn't do any justice. It's the cheap plastic kids' one from the '80s.
The second type was also made by Collegeville in the '80s, but it actually had a fur suit and a fully-detailed mask that you could wear.
The mask on this second type was very three-dimensional, and is often sold on its own by people on eBay.
The third type of costume is a new one altogether, made by another manufacturer. This one come with feet, but also has a tail for some reason. The expression on the mask is more natural of ALF (and it's great that it has actual eyes instead of just eyeholes), but I feel that the build quality of the mask itself is lower. It doesn't seem as three-dimensional as the Collegeville mask, and it seems flat in all the actual pictures of people wearing it.
Then again, I suppose that comes with all latex masks, as it is difficult to find a Collegeville mask that isn't deformed in some way.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Re: ALF costume?
yeah, that is so very true about the mask, it is not as 3D looking as the other one, this nose often caved in even when i was wearing the mask, but I do like how it looks more like ALF's face then the other one.
