Adeline McQuackAnyway, the most pleasant ALF surprise over the past month for me has been the fact that ALF has returned to Norwegian TV, something I had thought would never happen! It's airing on a brand new channel named Canal 9, which launched just a few weeks ago, and ALF was on their schedule from day one. I can hardly think of a better selling point for a new channel!
They air 2-4 episodes every day at different times, so it's clear they consider it a filler show, but even so I'm still happy they picked it over the countless other shows they could have chosen instead. Canal 9 is as I mentioned a brand new channel, which can currently be received by ~80% of Norwegian households - unfortunately not including mine.
Guess I'll have to stick to the DVDs for now. I'd also be curious how the episodes look, because the German DVDs look very washed out compared to the US ones, and cut syndicated edits rarely air here. Imagine if they'd gotten hold of really high quality uncut copies! Surely they must exist, I don't care what Lion's Gate says. It seems they don't have a separate show page for ALF, but you can see it listed under their generic show page:

In the right hand corner is their program guide, where you can see ALF listed every day.
