Okay, who won my ALF frisbees?!??
Just got into a bidding war with someone on eBay over ALF frisbees...anyone willing to split the auction with me (there were four of them)?

Re: Okay, who won my ALF frisbees?!??
I won the auction on the desk signs (if that is what you are referring to). I can't believe someone wanted those frisbees more than me! I put in a $75 bid on them!
There has been quite a few nice ALF auctions on eBay recently...hopefully the trend doesn't continue, because my wallet can't afford it!
I also missed out on a new 2006 ALF is back calendar...that bums me out a little...

Yes, please! I have a few signs in my collection now, and am not sure if I am missing any...? I have never made a list of all that were available.

Re: Okay, who won my ALF frisbees?!??
Ladies, gentlemen... Guilty as charged! On both accounts, I won the ALF calendar as well, I've been looking for one for several years so I had to have it. I thought you already had one, Jeremiah?
When I saw these frisbees I just knew I had to have them! I'd never seen them before, so I know they're pretty rare. Promotional items before ALF even started airing are high on my list. Also, what I love most about them is that the ALF logo they scratched (the one used on the unaired pilot episode) is printed on them. That sealed the deal for me, these will be favorite objects in my collection.
Anyway, I was actually thinking about putting the spare set of frisbees in my trade thread (viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1799) once I receive them, since I suspected there'd be great interest in them. Boy was I right!
So, of course I'm willing to part with them. I'd prefer a trade, if you have anything to trade for, Jeremiah. Otherwise I'm sure we can work something out. Would have been so much easier/smoother if this auction had ended before our little business arrangement a day or two ago...

Anders, lets talk I REALLY would like a big one and a small one if you're willing to part...
Spare ALF items I have: US of ALF trading cards, a couple of mugs, a desk sign, scripts...you'd probably need more than that though. We should meet in chat next time we are both on.

Since you've been so helpful and generous in our latest arrangement, I can't ask you to trade for both of them. You can have one of them for free and we can work something out regarding the other one. How's that?Admin wrote:Anders, lets talk I REALLY would like a big one and a small one if you're willing to part...

Re: Okay, who won my ALF frisbees?!??
There has been a lot of great merchandise/deals on eBay the last couple weeks...I've spent way too much money! My wallet is actually looking forward to the next dry spell...
I have a lot of new stuff coming and will be sure to post pictures. My wife and I have this bookcase that we used for storage...needless to say I turned it into an ALF case this last weekend (pictures coming soon). I don't have enough room to get my whole collection out, but it's nice to actually display some of it. My sister-in-law and her husband came over the other day...she thought it was geeky, but I enjoyed showing her my collection.

Most people find my collectioning geeky as well, it usually goes from this to when I show the study to my guests. I collect Weta's LotR items as well as Star Trek related stuff. I reason it as art pieces to both my wallet and fiancee, so I symphatise with you Jeremiah
And congratulations on those frisbees, to you both, I think it's safe to say now. Great sign on them, a very fitting promotional item.

Amazing! I will get your box out in the next few days as well (and send you then customs number again). Should I put a declared value of $0 (since we are just trading)? That would mean NO insurance though...

I haven't experienced any packages getting lost as of yet (knock on wood), so that's fine by me
