ALF Rarities

Post by Admin »

I was going through my storage unit yesterday and happen to come across a tape that was marked "rarities" (nothing more). I didn't recall what was on the tape so I decided to put it in this evening. Things I found on it relating to ALF:

1) About half the episode "Lookin' Through the Windows" without the laugh track (and with the filming numbers, whatever they are called) - will upload to YouTube next week.
2) ALF hosting Hollywood Squares - I know there are clips of this on YouTube, but I am going to upload it next week sometime in its entirety just in case.

Quality isn't the greatest, but I thought it was an interesting find...especially since I had no idea I had these. I actually had the same situation a few months ago when I found an ALF newsletter I never knew I had - strange!

There is also Project: ALF on the tape (from when it was aired as the Movie of the Week) - anyone know if the DVD version is different than what was on TV? I may have to watch and find out.

I just re-read my post and realized it is probably one of the most jumbled posts I have ever made here at the forum (sorry about that) Way too much jumping around...it's been that kind of week...

Sounds great! Do you know how you got the episode without the studio audience in the first place? Really looking forward to both tapes.

I'm rattling my brain, but I honestly don't remember for certain. Throughout the years I've bought/sold/traded/etc. several collections of ALF tapes from collectors (original airings mostly) and I probably got the tape that way. The label is definitely not my handwriting. Hopefully in the next week or so I can get them up on The Tube - quality isn't the greatest, but fun to watch!
