Still would like a clarification on this. I noticed the Canadian release had these 2 episodes listed twice as well.

Got a responce from Lions Gate again, now they simply asked if it was purchased in the US. I said that I bought it off a seller/shop from Amazon located in the US, and that it said Lions Gate, followed by the address to the company on the back of the DVD.

Now they don't seem so sure, maybe they just took it for granted that ALF season 4 DVD problem = Same problem with the Canadian release? If so, that is highly unprofessional. I made it clear what the problem was in my first email to them.

Don't know about other people but my USA copy does not have them listed twice, but it looks like there are multiple different USA versions around.

Ahhhhhhhhh, got it...there have been so many posts in this thread that I'm starting to lose track.

I compared yours against mine, and only your disc 3 is affected. My disc 3 is:

13. It's My Party
14. Make 'Em Laugh
15. Love on the Rocks
16. True Colors
17. Gimme That Old Time Religion
18. Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades

Our UPC numbers are the same too (darn!) so that doesn't help. Updating website now...

Hi - sorry, not yet. I'll make sure I put that on the website soon. In the meantime, here's some info which should allow you to get a replacement disc.

http://www.alftv.net/news/alf9.html

I'll type up an email to Maple Pictures in regards to the season 3 Canada release and see if they are aware of it (or even have plans for a replacement disc).

Hang on a second. I am really confused now. There is a problem with the ALF Season 3 DVD release as well in Canada?

I'm not even 100% sure about that one...only one person has said something, so I am going to email Maple to find out some info (maybe they have had emails about it).

WOW! this is all becoming frustrating haha. I was 1 of the first victims of the missing episode situation and recently I have been trying to help people out and understand the situation but with all these new occurances I have been making myself look like a dummy more then anything else haha. What I can say though is that I remember my Season 3 having duplicate episodes and a Season 4 episode on the set, but all the episodes from the season were indeed intact. After all this confusion it is making me paranoid and sometime this week when I have more time I am going to give my collection another check to make sure I have EVERY episode.

Instead of answering my question if we were talking about the same replacement disc, I got pretty much the same responce from them:

If you would like you can send the disc (disc only is fine) to the below address.
Once received we can send a replacement. (US address only)
Also please note we only have product fit for Region 1-the US.

Address:
Lionsgate Ent
Att: Customer Service/Operations
2700 Colorado Ave
3rd Floor
Santa Monica, CA 904047

I asked them how long it would take to get it back, they answered:

Once received ,depending on where in the US usually around 5 business days.

Since that's very fast shipment, I askinly wrote "I assume the replacement discs are already made and that you know of this problem then?" Didn't get a responce after that.

Either way I sent them the disc yesterday so they should have it by Friday or Monday next week.

I'll let you know when it gets to my doorstep (AxelFoley, you'll have to PM me your address...I don't believe I have it). I could have it Sweden-bound the next day.

I got my other DVD-set today from the same seller, since the one I got last week was in such a rough shape. The 2 episodes are missing on this one as well.

Jeremiah, if everything goes well with the replacement disc from the first set, can I use your address when I send in this one as well? I don't know what I'm going to do with this spare-set I'll have, but if it will end up in anyone else's possession, I will of course want the set to be complete so they won't have to go through this hassle themselves. I'll pay for the postage in both cases of course.

UPDATE:

AxelFoley's DVD arrived in my mailbox today. I put it in my DVD player and it has the appropriate episodes, so Lionsgate has made good on correcting their mistake.

I am confused with all that is going back and forth. I have yet to buy any of the sets myself, partially because my folks own a couple of them so I can watch anytime, and partially because I have been holding out in the hopes that uncut versions will be available.

I am living in Washington state in the good ol' USA. If I were to go to the store tomorrow to buy all of the ALF season sets, will I be getting the complete series or not? I understand about the whole syndicated issue, I just mean, will I be getting all of the episodes or not? If not, then is it just season 4 or is season 3 messed up as well? Are season 1 and 2 ok?
