I was just watching this old promo for ALF's Hit Talk Show, and I noticed a crazy coincidence. At the end of the promo, it flashes to an issue of Entertainment Weekly, with ALF on the cover... except the date is October 29, 2023. That's only a few days ago! Yet the promo was released by Paul Fusco on October 21, 2014, and the show itself was of course only on for a few months in 2004.

What's the explanation for the random date in 2023?
