Greetings from Canada

Post by R!ck »

Hello there et bonjour, fellow Melmacians!

I am Rick from Canada and a long-time fan since The '80s — This year we all celebrate ALF 30th anniversary and to commemorate this historic milestone, my friend and I planned to watch a few episodes one night, a nostalgic rediscovery for some and a hysterical discovery for others. As a result, it quickly became a tradition for us to gather every weekend and enjoy some time together watching a few episodes. I found this place while checking out fun facts & trivia about ALF and thought it would be cool to share with people who appreciate on the same level!

Cheers :D

P.S. Perhaps, it is noteworthy to mention the short-lived Space Cats as my favourite Saturday-morning program. I really wish to see a DVD release sometime, after seeing Santa's Magic toy Bag & The Valentine's Day That Almost Wasn't could it be a possibility? The live-action puppetry sequences were certainly the highlights of the show!

Rick,
Welcome to the site! I would love to see Space Cats on DVD, too. I actually missed it when it was originally aired, but I have seen some clips on YouTube. If it is, it will certainly be posted here and on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/alftvsite/

Great to have you here!

Thanks so much, Sam!

You know, I am following ALF's Facebook for a while, glad to see him active in one form or another — It would be nice to see brand new video clips from him on Youtube acknowledging his 30th year on Earth :D

I agree that a Space Cats release is long overdue, a lot of people missed it unfortunately. That's a shame, I remember it was a dark time for Saturday Morning programming and a lot of shows were cancelled. Not for the lack of ratings, but because of the networks changes at the time.

Well, it's great to be here!
