ALF Television Memorabilia / Press Kit for Sale

Post by Fanatica »

Hello all,

I just registered because I am searching for ALF fans. I am an avid ALF fan myself.

Post edited for non-compliance with Forum Guidlines. ALFanatic - Asst Admin
You are most welcome to place specific, personal "for sale" ad of licensed ALF merchandise at fixed and stated price on this Forum; however, as per stated Forum Guidelines, you cannot provide specific link to ALF merchandise offered for personal sale on another site, such as eBay.

AxelFoley,

F.Y.I., portion of text edited from "Fanatica" post stated primary purpose for Forum registration was hope of maybe interesting one of us "ALF peeps" in his eBay auction listing.

Doubt "Fanatica" will be back to chat, although he is still welcome.

Yes I feared that was his initial & sole goal by registering. I hope I'm wrong though.

Well, I have some good news. I should be receiving the press kit in question sometime in the next couple weeks.

What it includes:

1) ALF plush AND spaceship!

2) Complete synopsis for each episode! This will really get me going on the HUGE episode guide I've been working on for the last couple years.

3) Fifty glossy photos! These will make great additions to the website.

4) Cast bios

5) Detailed show description

...I'm trying to remember if there is anything else, I don't recall off-hand. This is actually a "birthday present" from my wife. I wanted to buy it, but was hesitant, and she told me "Jeremiah, you're one of the biggest ALF fans there is. Just get it...it can be your birthday present."

I've got a great wife!!!

Indeed you do Jeremiah! Don't forget to take pictures and let the rest of us see the new beauty in your collection :D

I think I've seen this before, is it the press kit sent to papers to promote the show before the premiere? I've seen one on Ebay before for a hefty amount of money.

It is a press kit that was sent to select cable/television stations when the show was in syndication (there is a synopsis for every episode, which would seem to support this).

Pictures coming soon!

Admin,

Congratulations! Your wife must love you far more than I love myself, since i was unwilling to consider purchase based upon high $ amount set as minimum bid in eBay auction listing.

Do you happen to know the complete provenance for the "ALF Press Kit"? A bit of history, just for your awareness. Many years ago, at time of release, one of the "ALF Press Kits" was stolen from lobby of NBC Studios in Burbank, Ca., by someone beieved to have been in audience for taping of the "Tonight Show".

Hopefully mine is not the stolen one...

The press kits cool - the ep guides come in a cool folder which is stored under alfs spaceship seat. Not sure whether its been mentioned but it should also come with a large set of transparency slides and a bunch of window/car stickers similar to the number plate ones on the ship itself. Congrats Jerimiah

I was digging through a few old threads, and realized I never posted the pictures of this set! So, here they are!

Lots of great stuff that will be on the site as time goes along (i.e. the episode synopsis' that will be part of my new episode guide).
