ALF to Replace Bob Barker on "The Price is Right"

Post by ALFsince86 »

Gordon Shumway, aka ALF, is set to replace the beloved Bob Barker on the beyond popular game show "Price is Right".

"I like Bob," the Melmacian confesses, "but we will be making a few changes to the show." Among them perhaps the most notable will be the appeal at the end: "Instead of 'help control the pet population, have your pet spade or nuetered', I'm changing it to, "help control my appepetite, send your cat to my house! Ha! Haha!"

ALF adds that "Price is Right" will now only accept female contestants: "I freak out when guys hug me," the alien admits.

When asked if he plans on being on the show as long as Mr. Barker, ALF replies: "Longer! I'm only 249, I could go for another 400 years!"

I for one wouldn't mind if ALF were the new host. I know Rosie O'Donnell really wants to be the host (which I also wouldn't mind).

Thanks for sharing!

ALF would be an interesting choice, but I don't know if the "Price is Right" is really "Price is Right" without Bob Barker. I can't really imagine anyone filling his shoes.

If you ask me, when Bob Barker retired, so should the "Price is Right". He made that show what it was and nobody will ever fill his shoes. I'd like to see ALF host a game show. He should have been the 1 doing the "Family Feud".

ALF would be a good choice for "Are You Smarted Than a Fifth Grader". I think he could give it to the constants better than Jeff Foxworthy.

Yeah instead of Alf trying to have a talk show he should have tried to do a game show. Even though it wouldn't have lasted long, it would have been entertaining. But if he came around now and did one i don't think he'd make it either. Even though I would watch every episode until it got cancelled. lol :D

I don't know, I would like to believe ALF could comeback again. In 1988, when he was at the height of his popularity in the US, he was bigger than Mickey Mouse. Truly, ALF was everywhere.

ALF would make a good "American Idol" judge for that matter. Maybe a guest, they seemed to do that a lot last season.

Doesn't the guest judge usually sing something? Not sure if ALF would get the best ratings for singing. It would be neat seeing him on American Idol though...

Right now it says "69" for me...maybe there was a delay of some kind (I'll check it out).

ALF would be a great replacement for Barker. I could see it working. Im surprised there was never a crossover, as there was with Gilligans Island.

The problem is, I think ALF would be as, or more severe than Simon. I don't think people should be rude, but I do like ALF's honest.
