Calling ALF...

Post by maxmomma »

I have a dear friend- 24, paraplegic since birth. He can't really speak and has been in bed for a great many hours of his life. Every day he has watched ALF-- knows every episode and smiles big as can be when he sees him. He has just returned to the hospital this week and is very close to death. Since ALF has been to him a daily companion and friend, I thought it would be neat if he could get a call from 'ALF' while in the hospital. I have no way to contact Paul Fusco though to see if he would be willing to do this. I think this situation epitomises what someone hopes the character they have created can do for someone else. Even if he can't call- thanks Paul Fusco for creating a character that has been such a dear companion to him. I talked with his mom yesterday and she said that he was with it enough to smile at ALF and then out of it for most of the rest of the day.

Thanks for letting me post. Best.

Maxmomma,
Jeremiah, the forum Admin, is the only one that I know that has contact info for Paul Fusco. I have sent you a private message and an e-mail with instructions on how to contact Jeremiah as he is out of town this week.

It's too bad Jeremiah is out of town, but hopefully he can contact Paul Fusco in time.

Keeping my fingers crossed that this works out for you.

Hi everyone,

Finally found time to swing on in for a few minutes (found a computer and have some very limited access right now). I did get an email from the person in question and forwarded the request to Paul Fusco.

Long story short, ALF is calling him on Monday!

To be honest, I did have a tear in my eye when I found out that Paul Fusco would be calling him. Just goes to show what a great guy he is and how much he cares about his fans.
