Re: ALF Radio Drama

Wow, I love the warm reception this idea is getting! As far as who does what, and what the stories will be about, we have plenty of time to all talk and brainstorm. As far as story goes, we could always pick up where Project: ALF left off to keep it chronological, or we could have fun little one-off...

Re: Are uncut episodes better?

Having grew up with VHS tapes of original airings, I have a very difficult time watching the syndicated episodes. The flow is interrupted and funny scenes are left out. I agree. I remember when I watched the DVD's for the first time I was waiting for certain jokes and when they weren't there or awk...

ALF Radio Drama

So, I had an idea today, not sure if its maybe already been posted on here or tried in the past; how would you guys like to maybe band together and do an ALF radio drama? What got me thinking about it was the fact that as a kid I had a cassette tape about ALF playing detective and being suspicious o...

Re: Series 3 intro

Was watching a Season 4 episode last night (it has the same intro as Season 3), and yeah I had never noticed the feathers, but kept my eye out this time. Really interesting you picked up on that. We need to do a little investigative report, much like the case when Lucky went missing. I can see it no...

Re: How much did you pay for your DVD copy of Project: ALF?

I just sold my copy on Ebay, and the first thing I thought is, "I wonder if it's somebody from the forums?" You sold it? :o Yeah, it was always more of a nostalgia thing for me. I LOVE the series, animated series, comics, etc. But I don't know, Project: ALF never was my favorite. I just r...

Re: What's everyones two favorite movies

The original 1977 Star Wars would be number one. The second movie...hm, a toss up between Jurassic Park and Back to the Future. But yeah Episode IV: A New Hope, will always remain my favorite in the SW series. Im a huge SW nut, go to conventions, and even named our puppy, Lando.

Re: Your Favorite ALF Quotes

Burglar ( seeing Alf ) Must be one of those talking dolls. Alf: Oh yeah? Ever have a talking doll rip out your voice box!? It's funny, as a kid I actually hated that line, because the idea of ALF being so violent was really scary. But now, Strangers in the Night is without a doubt my favorite episo...

Re: The latest on "ALF: The Movie"

The title should just be "ALF" I agree 100%. I think the reason this whole "ALF" movie came about was because The Muppets did so well. I loved that film and felt that it went back to basics. I think for the ALF film to succeed it needs to try and not over complicate itself, and ...

Re: Do you consider The Animated Series canon?

I consider it canon. Just wish I could find the complete series somewhere. In English. I really wanna rewatch this show. haven't seen it since it originally aired. You should subscribe to Hulu Plus. Not only do they have the entire animated and live-action series available, they also have ALF tales...

It's cool to see The Hub showin' the old ALFer some love. Sadly, I don't have cable anymore, so I wont be able to catch the marathon, but I will surely pop in Season 3 and watch Turkey in the Straw! Hope everybody has a nice Thanksgiving!

Hi, Rich! That picture is awesome, and I just have to say that your involvement sounds like you really had an interesting time with the series in various ways. Like everybody else, really excited to see somebody so close to the series on here.

Re: about the movie

They should do puppet like original for closeups but then computer animation for action scenes. I know in the one article I believe it said something about the movie being a "hybrid". That leads me to believe you are right, and that they just know audiences today would laugh (not in a goo...

ALF in 3D!

To start off, I was actually never a huge fan of the 3D for years. The technology has gotten much better, as companies seem to use better cameras. Movies shot natively in 3D, that don't do much of that "pop-out" gimmicky stuff, really help immerse you in the world (Prometheus comes to mind...

Re: Your favorite James Bond movie/actor?

My favorite James Bond actor would have to be Sean Connery, and my favorite JB movie is Goldfinger . Daniel Craig is decent as a more rugged/real Bond, I loved Casino Royale , but wasn't a huge fan of Quantum of Solace . However, I am very anxious to see Skyfall at our local IMAX theater, haven't be...
