Re: How much did you pay for your DVD copy of Project: ALF?

I don't really recall how much I spent, but I do remember getting it off Amazon when it was initially sold. I doubt I paid anymore than $20 for it. I was surprised to see how scarce it's become. I had no idea.

Re: ALF Movie: what merchandise are you looking forward to?

What is a Wii U? Never heard of it before. Bill Murray is actually open to the idea of a new movie if the script is good enough. The Wii U is essentially a Wii HD with the graphical capabilities of an Xbox 360 and a tablet as a controller. The tablet has a touchscreen that is a little over 6" ...

Re: ALF Movie: what merchandise are you looking forward to?

^ A Nintendo Wii game would be neat as well! While a Wii game would fit the demographic, Nintendo has pretty much moved onto the Wii U. Since the new system will be on par with the Xbox 360 and PS3, it'll only make sense to release it on that system as well though. The great thing about video games...

Re: ALF Movie: what merchandise are you looking forward to?

I am just excited for the movie. I can't really say that there are certain merchandise that I'd want to see. Most were done when the show was still on the air. I feel that the more you merchandise something, the quicker people become tired of it. The one thing I would like, however, would be a video...

Re: Cookie Jar

I did a search for this item as I couldn't recall it from years past. I all but came up empty (even ebay didn't have any). The only site I found with one to sell was: http://www.tias.com/7805/PictPage/3923740857.html As you can see though, they are asking $225 with an option to make an offer. A litt...

Re: How many watched during the original run?

I was born in January of 1980, so I was there to watch the entire series. While, I don't really recall watching particular episodes, I'll never forget how I felt during the series finale. I remember being so excited for the tv movie as I hated watching my favorite show end in a gut wrenching manner....

Re: Will ALF Ever Be On Blu-Ray

I think there's a bigger chance for an unsyndicated dvd release before there will be talk of Blu-ray. I think the movie is the best chance of getting either of these to get the go-ahead. Personally, I'm not sure ALF would really benefit from an HD release. I'd be more than happy to own the original ...

Re: ALF The Movie

It's hard to say what direction an ALF movie could (or should) take. Just recreating the TV show would make for a rather limited premise for a feature film. Doing a film set on Melmac would be just rehashing the cartoon series. Perhaps a little of both ideas would make for an interesting story, alt...

Re: ALF The Movie

I was never really that excited about the idea of a prequel. I think a lot of ALF's charm is in his character and observations of earth and those around him. I enjoyed his stories and quips from his life on Melmac, but ALF amongst his own people doesn't seem as entertaining to me. I think he'd lose ...

Re: ALF The Movie

I believe ALF needs to stay strictly as a puppet. As far as the technology has come, once you know a character in a certain form, it's hard to accept it in any other way. Good examples would be Yoda and E.T. While I understand the use of CGI for Yoda for the fight scenes, I just couldn't see past th...

Re: ALF movie got the Green light!

How come no other sites are reporting this? I would understand if it took through the weekend, but it's been a week later and they are still the only ones to report that the project has been given the go ahead. I'm hoping Paul Fusco gives an interview in the near future to make it more known and may...
