Re: Favorite character other than ALF?
I think I would have to go with jake, even though he is bratty, he is probably the best kid actor on the show and I liked that he and ALF developed a pretty good relationship with each other throughout season 2 and 3.

Re: I didn't like Project ALF at all
I honesty have mixed feeling about it, I don't out right hate it, but I don't really like it either. the tanners are not in it, some of the things ALF does in it comes off as weird and out of the normal things he would do in the sitcom, like his attraction to the lady assistant of the ex-NASA guy (I ...

Re: alf christmas special
you do make a good point, while having tv teaching kids can be both a good and bad thing,it can be a good thing when tv shows actually address some serious issues, such as death. you make a good point we can't handle the things we see on tv, we can't easily handle things in real life, but it not the ...

Re: Isnt it funny?
it was really not that casting was bad, it was just the writers didn't flesh out them enough to seem like real human characters and they didn't give them much to do. with willie it was obviously they wanted him to be the nerdy straight men, but they constantly kept changing is character traits to ...

Re: Another sitcom?
that is very true, a lot of the episodes were very mellow and it could of been more over the top, but I don't see how that would be possible without being to crude or cynical, which I kind of hate about sitcoms today. I think it could work if the series played more the alien side of things, have ALF ...

Re: Another sitcom?
kind of yes and no, i mean yeah, i would love to see a modern reboot of ALF, but could that kind of sitcom really survive in this day and age? what worked well in the 80s, may not necessarily work well in today's media. if there was another sitcom, it would have to learn from all the flaws and ...

Re: Favorite version of ALF--scruffy or groomed?
I mostly like the ALF look from late season 1 to early season 2. he as a much more groomed look from the first few episodes but still as a scruffy look to him, his chin is scruffier and the hair on a head is bit more messy.

Re: DVD cover arts
I like the US DVD box cover art a little better, but I do also the box cover art of season 3 and 4 of the german set, the other two not so much, really bad placement of ALF with the tanners.

Re: Your reaction to the cancellation of ALF?
oh yeah, I remember that, still that is not really much then Africa, those are some pretty horrible choices, I guess they had to be somewhere way of the country and isolated.
yeah, makes me wonder if the Ochmonecks ever got questioned by the whole thing.

Re: Consider Me Gone
so very true, the ending to dinosaurs is a lot worse because you know those characters in the show are eventually going to die. at least with the ending of ALF, it was really uncertain what was going to happen to him, although there that strong possibility of him being tortured and dissected, but ...

Re: How many watched during the original run?
unfortantly so, although season 2 got better ratings then season 1, but season 4 had the worst rating. I know that didn't look good for the show, but I still say it could of come back strong with a 5th season.

Re: Your reaction to the cancellation of ALF?
that is probably why they were made to move to iceland, so they wouldn't be hounded by reporters. plus the alien task force probably kept everything about ALF and the tanners really secret.
