Re: #12: Oh, Tannerbaum

I do not like this episode. ALF's ignroance about Christmas traditions comes off as stupidity. I don't think ANYONE (even an alien from outerspace) would chop it into pieces. Additionally, I don't like how angry Willie gets at ALF (this is a family show and I don't like anytime when there is bad lan...

Re: Send a "Thank You" to Jerry Lewis

A few years ago (actually about 2003) I wrote to Paul Fusco and got a nice color photo of Gordon Shumway autographed by both ALF and Paul Fusco. Unfortunately I didn't keep the address and I am not sure if it would still be good anyway. I have been hunting the addresses of other stars of ALF since t...

I Made It to Junior Orbit Guard!

(I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place for this thread)

I finally made it to Junior Orbit Guard! I guess because I have 250 posts now. So what is the ladder of success around here? Does senior orbit guard come next? What's after that?

Re: #10: Baby, You Can Drive My Car

As a fan from the beginning I saw this episode when it originally aired and the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" was used. In the DVD releases they have cut this song, which means you don't understand why ALF says "hide like an Egyptian". That song was so popular right at the moment,...

Re: #6: For Your Eyes Only

I wish there had been a little more follow-up to this episode. I think eventually Jody should have found out that ALF was an alien and not been freaked out about it.

Re: Your reaction to the cancellation of ALF?

I was in a grocery store and saw a magazine about the new fall line-up. They printed the returning shows, new shows, and canceled shows. Over the photo of the cast of ALF was the word "canceled". I was disappointed, because a lot of my shows were already canceled or had been canceled befor...

Re: #7: Help Me Rhonda

This installment is a notable from a collector's standpoint because it is the only episode to have a direct sequel in the ALF comic book series. In ALF Annual 1 Rhonda returns again and when it looks very much like ALF will go with her Brian loses it. The comic book solution is that ALF clones himse...

Re: #8: Don't It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue

"You're the one whose out of this world--sweet baby! You're the one whose out of this world I'm spinnin' in an orbit I ain't never been in 'Cuz you're the one whose out of this world" Again, I need to get out my box sets and watch these episodes, but just for the sentimental value of this ...

Re: #5: Keepin' the Faith

These brief descriptions make me want to take some time soon and have an ALF marathon. Of course one reason I love this episode is because Terry Faith, I believe that was the woman's name, is from Dayton, OH (I was watching on a Dayton affliate when the show originally aired). I also like the people...

Re: Send a "Thank You" to Jerry Lewis

Well, I would enclose a letter telling him that you love "The Nutty Professor", etc. Keep it personal. Also, sometimes you can have a LONG wait ahead of you. Jerry is active (for example, he'll be in Australia doing concerts with proceeds going to MDA later this month), so you may be waiti...

Re: Send a "Thank You" to Jerry Lewis

I used to send SASE but most celebrities send you an 8 x 10, so they don't use the envelope or your stamp. In recent years I have simply enclosed some stamps for their use. Some of them actually return the stamps, others use them. In Jerry's case, I don't remember doing either and I still got one. H...

Re: Send a "Thank You" to Jerry Lewis

Ditto what you said Jessica. I'm glad to find another JL fan on the site. I hope you'll join me this September in sending Jerry a "thank you" card/letter/note. I've posted this on two Jerry Lewis websites, this site, and a "Star Wars" site where I know there are fans.

Re: Black & White TV

I was born in 1974, but we didn't get a color TV until 1984!! Even that was passed on to us by my Dad's parents. I think we bought our first color TV the next year or the year after that. Since then we've never gone back!

Re: #4: Pennsylvania 6-5000

This episode has elements that I normally do not like in plots. I don't like it when someone intends to do something good and it turns out bad (too much stress for me). I also don't like it when an innocent person goes to jail (ditto the first reason). However, that being said, this is a very creati...

Send a "Thank You" to Jerry Lewis

In addition to being an ALF fan, I am a fan of Jerry Lewis. I was happy to see him in 2008 when he did a concert in Michigan. This is for any JL fans that might be on these boards. As you may or may not know this will be Jerry's last appearance on the Telethon he created for MDA. It's being called a...

Re: 1996 Newsletter

I wish I had more information to give about this item. Honestly, I was hoping one of you would say: "That's me! I published that!" I am surprised someone who would put together something like that wouldn't be on the ALF boards. I can't remember what any of the articles were about, even tho...
