Yes, I know ALF would be hard to carry, I'm taking some creative license there. But I'm also setting this in Season 1 ALF hasn't been on Earth that long, so he prob. does not weigh as much as he does later.

Edit: I fixed the missing word from that paragraph. Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm glad other people have said they think of ALF as an alien. At least I'm not the only one, hehe. I mean, I KNOW he's a puppet/person in a costume, but in a way, I do think he's a real alien. Most of us here have prob. never seen the puppet or the suit in person, so how can we know for sure? :wink...
