Re: How many watched during the original run?

We're getting a tad off topic on here but the only gripe I have about the uncut sets is the lack of special features and that the picture quality isn't as good as the syndicated sets as the picture seems slightly choppier and slower. I think it's my dvd player because playing it on my computer it ha...

Re: Your Favorite ALF Quotes

This was from the Outtakes... ALF: Don't...don't ever touch me! Kate: Sorry. ALF: What's the name of the show? Kate: Sorry...ALF, ALF, ALF. ALF: Man! Kate: I'll rip his ear off. ALF: If you're going to touch me, touch me down here. lmao. I'll have to watch that This is from the Thanksgiving episode...

What episode is this taken from?

Image

I know it's in season 4. I don't recall seeing it in 2 or 3 and in S1 ALF never wore shirts

Re: How many watched during the original run?

I got a region free dvd player for under 40 dollars from Bombay Electronics. And it was free shipping as well. Because I purchased something over 30 dollars I think. No I didn't order it from Bombay India, lolz. I wish they would sell them in electronic stores but nooooooooo. I also wish somebody wo...

Re: Liz Sheridan Interview!

Here's one I want to ask and I REALLY would appreciate if this was included In what months was the show normally in production? (On my season 2 set which is 1987-1988 I watched the last episode produced for season 2 which was "We are family" and the roman numeral in the end credits was MCM...

Re: How many watched during the original run?

I hate to burst your bubble Taz but if you have the American dvd sets, what you got is the edited syndicated episodes. I have the uncut 1,2,3 sets that were released overseas and Season 4 comes out Friday. I'm not referring to you but I hate how some people think that's acceptable. Go to a baseball ...

Re: How long in advance were episodes taped?

I really wish somebody knew! lolz. My guess would be at least 4-5 months? Maybe a lot of them were done in the summer. On the back of my dvd boxes (the uncut region 2 sets) it only says the year of the first half of the season. For instance, season 3 is 1988-1989. It only says "1988" on th...

How long in advance were episodes taped?

I really hope someone can answer this question. I know it took 20-25 hours to tape one episode, but how long in advance from the week of taping did the episodes air? Were some parts of different episodes done all out of order? Were some done several (and I don't mean 1 or 2) months before finally ai...

How many watched during the original run?

Not me, I wasn't born until a few weeks after season 3 ended in 1989 so at least I was born during the run. I think "Having My Baby" was a very fitting episode because the Tanners were expecting a child, and I was on the way too! The same thing happened on Sesame Street the following week-...

Re: Do you like the theme music from S1&2 or S3

I like it from both seasons. There are two versions of the season 1 opening. The syndicated one is a lower octave and shorter and there is no shot of Kate putting the pie in the fridge with ALF trying to reach for it. Also there's one less shot of the living room in the syndicated opening. I much pr...

Re: FINALLY: Clip of ALF being electrocuted in Try To Rememb

I was like, 10 months old when ALF ended in March 1990 so I obviously have no recollection of watching it, or seeing merchandise in stores. But I did come cross an ALF comic book last year and I think my dad gave my older sister a plush ALF doll when she was little. And I found these "U.S of AL...

Re: FINALLY: Clip of ALF being electrocuted in Try To Rememb

Thank you thank you thank you! I laughed so hard when I saw ALF come out of the bathroom after being electrocuted. And I love how it has original broadcast commercials! It took awhile but I downloaded it and maybe I'll burn it on to a personal dvd. It's a lot better quality than I imagined, even for...

Re: Repeat episodes in Season 4 DVD

I was upset when I bought the region 1 dvd because "Make 'em laugh" and "It's my party" were not on there, but "He ain't heavy" and "when I'm 64" were on there twice. I can't wait for the uncut region 2 dvd to come out in October

Re: Question about two episodes regarding syndicaition cuts

In "Consider me Gone," they cut out a scene of ALF and Brian in the attic going through ALF's things which includes a Kick me sign--which ALF tells Brian he put on his back on the first day of school 4 years ago. And also something he put in Kate's mashed potatoes and an "arrow throug...

Re: FINALLY: Clip of ALF being electrocuted in Try To Rememb

Shot in very early 86? How do you know when these were taped? Does this mean that season 1 was taped in early 1986, season 2 was taped in early 1987, season 3 was taped in early 1988 and season 4 was taped in early 1989? Well I could be wrong about season 3 because Anne was pregnant and had a baby i...
