Re: FoxNews.com - Then/Now: The Cast of 'ALF'
It is mentioned that there is no recent photo of Anne Schedeen, but what about the others? They used a photo of Benji as a kid, and I don't think Andrea's picture is so new either. Anyway, I think they are all great actors, especially Max and Anne. I love them as Willie and Kate. :) Not to mention T...

Wow, I didn't know he was singing this song originally. Thanks for posting it. I'm also eager to know if it is intact or not.AxelFoley wrote:While we're on the subject, is this also intact??

The song that is? In the US DVD's, the song is replaced by another one.

Thank you for posting this, I had never seen it before. So to sum it up, how many versions does this pilot episode have? The one that was aired, then this one, and the syndicated version. Have I left something out?

Thanks! I'm not crazy about digipaks. They may be more attractive, but less durable than plastic cases.AxelFoley wrote:From what I've seen it's digipacks. I hope all copies comes with digipacks and some don't come without one, like season 4 of ALF that for some were missing the slipcase cover.

Re: alf looks different in the opening
You're right.
In seasons 1 and 2 they used a little man (Michu Mészáros - who is Hungarian like I am) dressed in an Alf costume in scenes where Alf's whole figure is visible and he's walking. They used the puppet in all the other cases.

Re: Your Favorite ALF Quotes
Another favorite of mine; I guess it's from the episode that Neal first appeared in: Lynn (to Neal): Uncle Neal, have dinner with us. Mom made... (to Kate) What was that? Kate (annoyed): Food! Lynn (to Neal): Anyway, there's plenty of it left. :D:D:D I just laugh my @ss off whenever I watch this sce...

Re: Anne Meara - script writer?
I didn't know about that. But speaking of Anne Meara, I just saw her appear in an episode of my second* favorite sitcom, The King of Queens. I hadn't know until then that she and Jerry Stiller from KOQ were actually married, and that actor Ben Stiller was their son... Back to the topic: Anne Meara a...

Re: Going through season 4 for the first time
My guess was 10 years of age difference, and I win, because the actual age difference between Max Wright and Jim J. Bullock is 12 years. :D Well, I own illegal copies of the DVDs, which is shameful I know, but I have a good excuse: the original DVDs are not available here in Hungary. I'm going to or...

Re: Going through season 4 for the first time
What about the age difference between Lynn and Brian? Or Lynn and Eric? Anyway, you're right, they could have chosen another actor; the one that portrays Neal is quite annoying to me.
What do you mean you've seen 'Mind Games' from season 3? Isn't it an episode from season 4?

Re: Going through season 4 for the first time
I think they should have changed that end laughter at least in the second season; it's Alf's early voice, which we can hear in the first half of season 1. I couldn't agree with you more, AxelFoley, Raquel's sudden crush on Willie just came out of the blue. Things like that can happen, though, I mean...

Re: Uncut DVDs
So it's true: these are the uncut episodes! :D I'm so happy about this, I must order it. The only thing that holds me back is - as someone mentioned above - the high price. I think I will try to be patient and wait until the price goes a little lower. I wonder how long I will be able to wait 'cause ...

Re: German season 2 coming November 20th
Well, here in Hungary all movies are dubbed, but those captions you're talking about - like "two days later" etc. - always appear in the original language. So I guess this isn't something we should worry about.

Thanks Gordo!
Why would they release the syndicated episodes again? Anyway, I'm not gonna pre-order the stuff, we should really wait until September to see if they are the full episodes or not.

Re: Uncut DVDs
Yes they are. On the North American release episodes would run from 20-22 minutes. So everyone who can get a hold of this new release is getting the real deal. So the syndicated episodes are just 2-4 minutes shorter than the originals? I thought they had cut out more. No problem, though, I still wa...
